Outlook rules not working for distribution list?

Like everybody, I receive a lot of emails everyday. I can sort many of them automatically because they are coming from automated processes.

One my mailbox has about 40 rules. And lately, one rule was not working, well not fully working I should say.

It is a very simple rule that when an email is received with a specific subject, move it a sub-folder. The rule was working correctly when I was running the rules manually but were refusing to automatically run overnight when emails were hitting the mailbox.

After digging the issue I finally found the issue. The email was sent to a distribution list (which I am one of the member). By adding a "Sent to people or public group" condition (specifying my distribution list alias as the destination), the rule magically started to work as expected.

While at it, do you know we have a 64kb limit on rules? That limit can be expanded if needs be. Check https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/outlook-on-the-web/increase-the-space-used-by-inbox-rules.
