About a month ago, I had to explore the world of components for a client to find one that would let produce special reports in Word and Excel that could also produce PDF and HTML directly. One constraint I had was that I could not use Microsoft Office (like when applications are running on a server where Office is not installed). I finally found Aspose ( http://www.aspose.com/ ) and started using the trial version. I had many questions when I started on this product and even a few problems and a couple of features that did not exist. I was very impressed by their forum and their responsiveness. They sent me a couple of fixes and new versions of DLLs (even when still in trial). They not only have Word, Excel and PDFs but many other products.
