If you have any interest in Entity Framework or if you already started using it, I strongly suggest that you buy the “Programming Entity Framework” book from Julia Lerman (ISBN 978-0-596-80726-9). We can feel Julia’s passion in this book.
This brick (I mean book) is surely the most comprehensive book on the latest incarnation of Entity Framework. Everybody, from starters to advanced developers, will find something useful in this book which many time worth the value of the book. It just covers almost every aspect of EF4. You can use it to learn EF4 or get a specific answer to a problem you have.
Most samples in the book are provided in C# (a little VB here and there where there are significant differences). Most downloadable code is provided in both VB and C#. The decision in having code mainly in C# is only to greatly reduce the number of pages. That shouldn’t stop any VB developers to grab this book (close your eyes on the semi-colons and you are almost done!).
If you would like to save trees, digital editions are also available from the O’Reilly web site (http://oreilly.com/catalog/9780596520281).
