SQL Server 2008 RC0 and a Backward Compatibility guide
Tuesday, June 10, 2008
Print this page
There are some signs out there that SQL Server 2008 official release is coming. The RC0 version has been released to some people last Friday (
http://blogs.technet.com/andrew/archive/2008/06/06/sql-server-2008-rc0.aspx
).
Microsoft also has published the "Backward Compatibility" guide available from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc280407%28SQL.100%29.aspx
. As there are breaking changes, if you plan to upgrade to SQL 2008, it is worth having a look at this document to see if you are using one of the deprecated or obsolete features.
